Differnce between Hawkesdale College and Ummul Guro!!

  1. Boarding school
  2. Have to sleep on the floor.
  3. The girls have to wear jilbab’s on their heads and wear them until they die.
  4. Saiful is a big soccer guro.
  5. They have to pray five times a day.

AFL 150 years

Today at school which is the7-8-08 we had a footy day and we were meant to wear footy clothes for the AFL 150 years. I wore geelong stuff in blue and white. It was pretty cool. Nearly everybody in our classroom was in casual. It was really fun an we had a kicking competition.It was really fun but didn’t try to kick the highest kick.

On Monday.

Today, Mrs Leo came from Boston, north eastern USA, into our grade 6 and 7 class. She used “virtual classroom software” which has been developed by an Australian, to share some powerpoint slides, audio, video and chat. Let’s reflect on this amazing lesson and write a post about it.

  • Describe some of the slides she presented. Vegimite, Cricket, Football. 
  • Discuss some of the questions she asked us. She asked us what cricket was.
  • Which questions surprised you most? What is Vegimite
  • Did you learn anything new during the session? No
  • Do you think we accurately portrayed a glimpse of life at our school and local area? Why? No because she wanted to know
  • What about a glimpse of Australian culture? Why? No
  • Do you enjoy being in a virtual classroom. Justify your reasons? Yes because it’s fun 
  • What skills do you think we need to develop and improve upon to successfully participate in such a class? Be Quiet 
  • Can you see this as being the classroom of the future? Why or why not? Would you like it to be? Yes because it fun. i would love to be.

    I’m nervous about not getting to the right classes eg. cookery, science and humanities. 

    We go to high school next year.
